I need some work...

How funny is that request?

Anyway, it's certainly not what one/you might think. It does have to do with Work though. To be more precise, backyard work.

The last two weekends (being finished building for now), I've actually had soooo much spare time on my hands... I don't know what to do with myself? Qing works most weekends (part time) in the evenings, so here I was last night enjoying my latest work for a couple hours. Just sitting and relaxing with a few beers, but instead... my Mind wandered elsewhere. You guessed it!
What can I do next and what needs to be addressed first, on my "Quest" for the perfect backyard?

Truely, I think that I have such a "relaxing" backyard... that I "can't" relax! I know it's not 100% finished yet, but shouldn't I enjoy each stage more? Even if my LaoPo wasn't working on a perdicular weekend, I think it wouldn't really matter. So what is it, that drives me to keep going... going and going?

Maybe I just go until' I run out of "gas" or strength? Or is it my Age? If I stop, it would show and feel like the 60 I am? Don't know, so I just keep doing what I've always done... til' I'm actually done "Outside". Where I can really/truely take it easy for ones and for all, before I start eyeballing the "Inside"!

Good grief.....

What do we do....

... having the Construction Project done and finally some time to relax a couple weekends, a new decision had to be made.

Going to the Grand Canyon/Sedona for a few days, that made us think of something that we could have used in San Francisco a while back. That was a GPS or a Smartphone, to have handy so not to get lost... or to find a place(s).

Not to have that problem on our next trip, Qing and I were talking about an IPhone 6 or the new Galaxy phone coming out. Both of us not wanting anything to do with a Contract, so we need to buy it out-right to have a low monthly payment on it.
We were leaning towards the IPhone, because Qing thinks... the Galaxy phone is made by LG (Korea). She thinks of all their Products are very nice looking on the outside, but cheap on the inside. Having seen a few products (especially the Gas Stove we had looked at), was just exactly that. Beautifully designed, but mostly with plastic instead metal.

Fine I thought, this will be the IPhone than. Haha... only for a couple days, until'... we need a better Camera for our next trip! After my Brain computed this, I quickly "printed out"... it will be this or that and not both! At least not now and for the upcoming trip.

A week went by and with much back and forth, it turned out... the Camera was more important. Had only my six year old, 7 pixels little digital camera. Looking at several, we found one where we actually get the second Lens free. So besides having a 5-55mm std., we also received a 55-200mm with it for nothing. A "Nikon" (knee-cone..as Qing says) with all the bells and whistles, that will give me plenty to figure out how to use it. Good for the "Auto" button and 14 pixels, that is great... after you learned how to hold it.

Of course I will test it at home first, but where do you put the Film in?   Just kidding!
What shocked me too, was the fact... when I bought my (small) Canon... the biggest Memory Card was 2GB. Now they sell mostly 6-8GB cards. So guess, I'll be ready for a few thousand photos with no problem? Don't expect me to load them all here though, I refuse!

Patio Cover .. plus!

Now, stopping with the Patio Cover.. just wasn't enough. I just had to add something more to the front yard.

Been thinking about this little "Bridge" for some time, but never knew where to actually place it? Qing had mentioned the front yard, so I finally decided... she's right. I put it together and the first place I try'd it out, seems to be just perfect for it.

My Neighbor even loves it, as it also fits right in... by the couple Solar-lights I have nearby.

Gives it also a Oriental look leading to our front door, something that Qing and I think is not only perfect... but cute too.

Tuesday & Thursday were/are ...

.... ones again extra special days in our Relationship/Marriage.

Tuesday (05-07-08) was when I first stepped off the Plane in Shanghai (Pudong International Airport) and came Face to Face with a Woman, that I've been writing and communicating with (via PC) for nearly six months. Got my first look into "Her" eyes, my first touch of "Her" hand and minutes later my first "Kiss" right there in front of many People... including Qing's cousin that brought her here to pick us both up and take us to my Hotel I was staying at.

Do I remember this very moment? You can bet I do! It was like living a dream and suddenly you wake up and find out, it wasn't a dream at all. We stood facing each-other for some time, but it seemed like we knew each-other for years though.

I know many Folks/Friends alike, feel... that two People can NOT fall in Love while never having been together Physically. Only on paper- phone calls- on a Computer screen, but I must say (knowing what really the odds are)...it does happen and it certainly did happen!

So, not only did everything fall into the right places, but today (05-09-08) five (5) years ago... we also went ahead sealed the deal and got married at the Shanghai Marriage Registry. What was to stop us? It wasn't like we met some place for a night and thought we are in Love. No, we had already build a solid foundation of a relationship... that you can "Build" a marriage on.

Sounds like a Fairytale, of course it does! Because it is one and we are living it! See; Love does not only come in "Conventional" ways, that most are familiar with. It comes wherever one looks for it, finds it, knows how to make it grow and most of all... knows how to keep it! Looking back at my Journey, you might think... that this is too hard for me! No way, will I ever go even near such a route. To find and being able to hold a wonderful "Wife" in your arms day in/day out, that would/should change many minds feeling otherwise.

So waking up this morning, as we hold each other in our arms... we both know one thing for certain. We'll grow old together and cherish to the fullest, that was given to "Us"!
PS: A special thanks from both of us, to one "Special" person that made our Relationship grow... goes out to our Translator from Chnlove "Kelly" (seen here with Friend) from Guangzhou. Thanks a million ones more!!!!

Patio Cover all done...

... so now that this part is done and we are ready to enjoy it, my thought's are wandering off to our upcoming Trip again.

Especially the 3 hour Pink Jeep Tour that we have reservations for, should be a highlight to close out our stay in Arizona with a bang.or better yet.. rough Ride!
Here I include a Video of one of their Tours, if anybody ever is going that way.
