Trying to analyze the meaning of Dreams .

Anyone that has read the last Post , that it was quite a unique Dream to have .

Yesterday evening after Dinner , I showed Qing my Blog explaining my Dream to the Readers that follow my Blog regularly . This of course brought it all back for my LaoPo , which she might have forgotten about already . Except times with Friends , which I have mentioned earlier . So now , we sit down and REALLY think .. what this could have meant . Before I like to say , that we both believe .. that passed away Relatives can actually .. see / be among us in same way . Not to harm / or wish bad things on us , but in a good way .. like protecting us from harm ( which I have proof of an Experience a ways back in my Life ) . But that is another Story all together . Anyway , for over an Hour we try to analyze the meaning of that Dream .
Knowing , when People die and go to Heaven .. their there because .. they been good/honest People all there Lives . Now , with this in Mind .. I would NOT suspect my late Wife to be upset with me being Married again and having Qing live in my ( ours now ) House .
Through serious talking , we .. well I actually had to go back years . To the time my late Wife passed away . It is of course in Human nature , to grieve a loved one after their gone . But that does not give anyone a time limit , of how long one must grieve . This depends on each and every individual .. right ?
I finally came up with the conclusion , that it was caused by that time frame .. during my grieving . See , to think , I found Chnlove in Oct. '07 and my late Wife ( let's call her by name ) Nancy died in Jan . that year . This , showed to People ( mostly Family ) that I was looking so soon after .. for another Woman already . This is not how it really happened , most of you know .. that have read my Blog from the beginning . I did NOT go out of my way to look for a new Wife/Woman , it CAME to me . May it been Fate/Destiny , whatever ? The fact is , at some point during that time .. I must of felt really Guilty for doing this search . Some Family members help in that part too , by letting me know this wasn't right to do . I did not feel like , I had to explain my Life to anyone .. it was MY Life as I see it .

Back to the Dream . So , as one knows .. Dreams are most of the time not right from yesterday or last week . They can date back months/years for that matter and Bingo .. you find yourself being set back in time by none other .. than your Brain . Maybe with the help of someone from above ? Whatever , we now believe we have pinpointed the cause of this Dream and know .. we can relax . It's not Nancy trying to kick us both out of the House , through a Dream . Someone that's in Heaven , I'm sure is not allowed to do such things .. as to wish anything bad/mean on anybody . This is why their there in the first place .

Still , this does not explain the Knocking / Footstep noise's .. Light's / Ceiling Fan's (2) turning on and off by themselves ? This will be covered later in a Post .

I thought , I write something diff... !

By that , I mean .. something we most likely do not pay too much attention to , in our daily Life's .

I told you , this is not the thing one wonders about much . But as common as it is , do we actually care or think that .. there is more to them , then .. just a nightly happening that we have no control over .
This is exactly what I like to bring out with this Post here .

Whatever the situation might be , in my case .. Re-Marry . How will this effect my Dreams ? I tell you , it does very much so . Not that I only dream of my new LaoPo "Qing" now , no .. I still have quite a collection of different Dreams . But the one I want to write about , happened a few weeks back . It was a very short dream , very clear though . As it turned out , it had my late Wife in it too .

Remembering the best that I can ( at my Age ) , I try to give vivid detail .

I was coming Home from Work , as I usually do everyday . This time it was , to my surprise very strange though . As I entered through the front Door , a Woman was sitting in a Chair in the Living Room . She looked at me , in a NOT to nice way if I remember right . Asking me , " Who is this Woman in my House " . Of course I was shell shocked , not only seeing her sitting there .. but I knew very well .. that I was married to my LaoPo already . Wow , I'm in trouble here .. I thought to myself quietly . The next sentence coming my way , was .. this Woman got to get out of my House . Straight faced and without any hesitation , I told this Lady .. this Woman stays .. she's my Sister !!! Yeah .. no kidding .. " My Sister " I told her .

This had awakened me right there in a Sweat , as one can imagine . I told my Sweetheart this the moment she woke up and I felt she'd be ready to listen to my dream . Honey , mmmh .. you know your my LaoPo .. Right ? I have to tell you what I just have dreamed , so don't be mad . So , after starting from the start , came the Punch Line . I called you my " Sister " in front , what I believe now .. could have been my late Wife ? Remember it's a dream and a Person might look different in appearance . The first thing I know , was my Sweetheart giving me a nice ( but not too gentle ) punch on the upper Arm facing her . Soooo .. I'm your Sister ?? was repeated over several times . Yes .. yes , but it was only a dream was my response . This did not work for a couple of hours ( I think ) , til things cooled off some . hahaha

Now , we .. or I should say Qing , will tell this to all our Friends . In a serious but calm Face .. He called me his " Sister " . So now I'm a object of much Fun and Laughter of course , whenever it is brought up .

Now that we had time to analyze this and break it down some , do I/We think .. it was my late Wife telling me .. Qing needs to get out of this House ? Dreams , do or can have a meaning .. don't really know . In fact , I don't really want to know .
Was this as it played out ? I hope not , hence I believe that my late Wife is happy for me/us .. to have found each other and Life goes about happy and loved again .

Sweetheart , your always be my LaoPo / Tai Tai / Wife .. really !!!!

Here is from last night's Dinner , with the great Chef " Qing " !

Actually , all the preparations began on Saturday already . After having done the shopping for all those wonderful dishes , Qing was about to make , it was to get herself organized and start to prepare some of items needed . The cutting .. cleaning of Vegie's , Meats and Fish and putting all in a place in the Refrigerator , where their easy to find later on Sunday .


Again , after I made Breakfast for both of us .. it was time for Qing to go to work . I did a last minute run to the Market for a couple things we forgot earlier to buy . Got that done and then I finished some of the House cleaning ( windows mostly ) . My Yard I jumped on the day before and made presentable .


As the house started to smell like .. your in a Chinese Restaurant Kitchen and the Temperature in the house started to climb , due to all burners on the Stove were going at the same time . For me it was best to stay out my Sweethearts way and let her do her thing . I did manage to help with some of the final chopping , as I did feel guilty .. seeing her so busy and me just waiting for our Guest's to arrive . Ones she goes full steam ahead , there is no reason even to ask .. can I help with something ?


First to arrive was my good Friend and his Family . This gave me at last something to do , that seemed equally important as the Cooking part . Making them feel at home and help them stay out of trouble by getting to close to the Kitchen , where by now it was pretty much Taboo to walk into . It's not really what I told my Friend's , that Qing does not want to share her cooking secrets . It is , you don't want to get rolled over going back and forth . I look at this and think to myself .. Man .. she needs eight arms or another Chef to bring this to normal speed . Haha


An hour later my Sister In-law and her Family joined us . The first time they been here , since my late Wife passed away in 2007 . After a big Welcome , she was allowed into the Kitchen with my Friends Wife . Only because , Sister In-law was preparing the Dessert for later . Us Guy's , don't even think about it .. stay in the Living room .


Here finally the signal that the Won Ton Soup is ready to be served . As one can imagine , breakfast was by now forgotten and we all seemed to be starving and looking forward what was about to come out of Qing's Kitchen . It took not too long , before Qing and I got to hear .. " This is the best Won Ton Soup I ever had " !


Wow .. I thought , and this was only the start of things to follow . This was the only time Qing actually sat down ( except the time the final dish was served up ) to eat with us . What followed , well was not short of the Won Ton Soup either .


As the Compliments kept coming , Qing's response was .. a simple .. but this is easy/simple for me . Heck , I think .. I was as proud of her being my Wife .. like at our Wedding becoming my Wife . I have mentioned before on other Post's , she really as brought the Shanghai Food/Cooking with her to America . Just thinking the idea , what if all those special Sauce's and Spice's were not available here ? I guess , instead of Chinese Food .. it'll be Steak and Potatoes . No , I don't even want to think this .. really !


I could not imagine , that anyone had room left for Dessert . But as it showed , both the Dessert's where also a " Hit " .. in two area's .. the Taste bud's and the Stomach of course . It turned out to be a wonderful experience for all , to see a Chinese Master at work in their Kitchen .


I also said many times , I'm a Lucky fellow to have such a wonderful/amazing Wife by my side .. Day and Night .

Is it Heaven ? You bet , here on Earth at least it is .. without a doubt for sure .

The next Post will be from tomorrows Dinner gathering of my Sister In-law / her Husband and one of my best Friends and his wife , that also met through the Internet . Qing is going all out ( well me too ) to cook them an true Chinese Dinner , which is the first for them .

3rd. Orange Chicken
4th: Cocoanut Shrimp
5th: Jellyfish with Daikon Radish
6th: A Tofu Dish
7th: * Green Beans with ground Meat .

9th: Dessert is on my Sister In-law
10th: Beer, Wine , Sake , Chinese Tea , Juice , Milk , Water ..
nobody runs Dry .

Marketing the American way .

Oh yes , we all think .. we are doing it all right here in America .

But , being married to an Chinese Woman .. changes all that , very quickly .

Let's talk about my Shopping habit's . First of all , I'm not a great Cook by any standard's . So let's begin , I do know how to Cook to keep me alive and that is a good thing . Wouldn't everyone agree ? Now , these times .. things are really made easy for the average Guy in the Kitchen . Microwave this and that and make a Salad ( out of a Bag of course ) and you have a Dinner of some kind . Yeah .. I am such a great and efficient Chef .. wolahh . That is all nice and good from a Single Person's view . But here comes the big " BUT " ! Being married now , things change all of a sudden and I wonder why that is ?


Now being with your Sweetheart going through the Isle's , your still in the American mode .. before you realize .. wait a minute here . She is starting to have her input in all of this , shopping for Food and what to Buy . Not that this is new to me , as I was married before to a American-Mexican Lady . The only difference now is , this is a " CHINESE " Lady ( LaoPo ) . Everything you have ever thought is right , what this subject concerns .. is about 75% out of the Window .

I will now take you through a Shopping encounter with my LaoPo . Hand in Hand that is , as we are still Newlywed's ( too bad Bob Eubanks show is gone ) . We always start in the Produce Section for some reason , don't ask me why . This was always the last before . As one don't want to put heavy stuff on the Tomatoes and such . Myself , being a Person that can
" Adjust " to almost anything with no problem .. have no problem with this either .

Now , the different Fun begins .. Hahaha .

First , as a nice LaoGong .. you ask before deciding on anything of course . As our Produce are somewhat unfamiliar with my better half , I ask .. do you like this or that , before committing to Buy it . I almost get the same answer every time . If you like it !
This does not tell me if she likes it .. now does it ? So if I really like it , I'll bag it .. without feeling too guilty . This goes on for about an hour and a half or more , working through Isle to Isle .

One thing that stands out , is .. she will not Buy under any circumstance buy canned Food or Vegetable or Frozen anything . With the exception , of Potatoes ( Hash browns ) for Breakfast . I know very well the Customs of China , as they like it " FRESH " ! Whatever it is , Meat - Fish - Vegetables - or Fruit . Heck , they even worry about the Rice .. not being too old .

But , do I really mind this sudden change ? NO .. of course I do not ! I'd do anything for my Sweetheart , but eat Eggplant .. now this is one Item .. I will not tolerate on my Plate .
Nobody can call me being Picky , as I at least give everything at least " ONE " try .

One thing , going Home after Food-shopping .. is you feel good about yourself .. having done great and have it the American way anyway . By loading up for several weeks of Food at a time , even with a CHINESE wife . hahaha

Qing's Birthday weekend .

This Birthday for my LaoPo , was the first one here with me in Palmdale . As mentioned before , chinese do not really put too much emphasis towards their Birthday . Actually , they do celebrate somewhat .. but it is usually more meaningful dates .. like the 20th/30th/40th ect. and sometimes after each five too . In other words , they don't want to be reminded .. year after year .. their getting older . Makes a lot of sence to me .

Coming back to Sunday ( Qing's B-day ) . I of course got up and started making Breakfast for us . Having accomplished that . There was a few hours to kill or to relax , before we were to meet up with the Neighbors that I invited to come along . The five of us headed towards Pasadena and to one of Qing's choices of Chinese Restaurant ( Yang Chow ) , which has three in the LA area . We arrived and had reservations for an early Dinner , about 4:30 pm . Pulling into the parking lot , it was still empty of Car's . So first thought was , is this a good place we chose ? Going in , sure enough .. we're the only ones in this not to big eatery . It was very clean and that is always a good sign , when going out for Chinese Food . Any Food in that matter . By the time we were pretty much stuffed with some great Food , the place had started to fill up . Qing get's talking to anybody that just looks a little chinese . It turns out the owner is from Shanghai too . Boy , this world sure is small . Seem's , every Asian place we visit .. their is somebody from that great City . So Qing's voice box started to run overtime . Come to think of it , I got to practise some of my Shanghainese and Madarin on this Man . When I invited the Owner to Dinner in Shanghainese , he almost fell over with surprise . You know ? White and Chinese don't mix well . hahaha

We were talking for about 45 minutes .. if I kept track right , but with only this much time .. we could tell ones more .. how Business minded Chinese People are . This Man actually wanted to open a Restaurant in my home Country ( Germany ) . Had his Visa/Work Permit and all , but could not get a lease on a Place to open . So back to the US he went . Now has three here and quite successful to . He convinced me , to open a place in Shanghai .. having nothing but Bradwurst/Sauerkraut and of course German Beer . He says , that is all I need .. keep it simple and base my Business Address ( HQ ) in Hong Kong to save on Taxes . Mmmmh ?

Leaving , I showed him my Shanghai Volkswagen Emblem .. I bought in SH and stuck onto my Toyota Highlander . That caused quite a loud laugh from him and all of us . He first thought , I bought the Car there and had it shipped here . haha

Anyways , after that it was off to the KTV Studio near downtown Los Angeles . this happed to be some kind of event . Five of us did not shy back and let it all out . They didn't even through us out . We had a blast for three hours , which seemed far less . Qing had a wonderful time , one could just see it looking at her . By almost eleven o'clock , one doesn't really like to be downtown .. without Bullit-proof Car . One Park really stood out as very dirty and not safe ( in Echo Park ) . Lucky we only drove through there without stopping .. scary ? You bet ! But we made it home and hit the Pellows and Dreamland in minutes .

Coming to think , one year ago .. Qing and I were in Hong Kong celebrating the same day ( our first together then ) . Memories are beautiful , making new ones .. is even better .
