...part 4

So married now and wanting a bigger nicer place to live, because Canoga Park wasn't really the safest place to live anymore. Twice, someone had to call Police because; once, because they found someone had OD'd in one of the Apartments- second, one early morning the was actual shootings from one Apartment building towards another in a Gang fight. That was that told us, we need to get out of here.

Lucky for us, there was no need to look for long. My Ex-Boss was moving into a new House and put up his old one up for Lease. So, knowing him well...we had first choice of course. It was perfect for us, a beautiful 1300 sq foot home on top of a hill overlooking the whole San Fernando Valley. Plus with a Fireplace in the Living room. What made this such an easy choice, was the price was about the same as the place we left. So this was the first of our five (5) moves we make together.

part 3...

One year after moving in together, we'd decided that it was time we get married. We picked a date (05-06-1978), not knowing how easy it would be to remember it later when Anniversaries come around. You see...5-6-78...!

Here is the Little Church that be had picked out to have the Wedding at. There weren't kidding with the name "Little" as one can see in the Photo's below.

...at the time, there was only a Parking Lot right of the Church...not this nice looking Building that is standing there now. Makes the Church really look it's name...lol.

...part 2

Just wanted to add, where I had lived at the time me and Nancy met. To my surprise as I was to find out years later, I was living right next to the Granada Hills High School (Football Field) and encountered lot's of noise on weekends from there. Little did I know, that is exactly where "John Elway" was playing as QB to start his great Career. No wonder it was always that loud!

My first 1-Bedroom apartment is right next to #32 (not sure anymore if mine was 31 or 33). What I do remember, Nancy used to bring me Home-Cooked meals she prepared at her Friends house only to carry them to my place. How sweet was that?

...to be continued.
Why do People always tell you, that you live in the passed when you bring up wonderful memories in your Life!

First, I don't want you to get me wrong, I am very happy with the wonderful Wife "Qing" where the Love just couldn't be any greater by no means!

Remembering "Nancy" is as natural as waking up every morning. After all, we did spend almost 30 years married together. That creates an aweful lot's of memories, from the first day we met to the last day... holding her in my arms as she took her final breath.

So here, I've gone back some of those steps.

This Apartment (well it was in better shape then) as you see, was ours for about 3 years from '77-'80. Left to right you see, MasterBedroom window-Bathroom-Kitchen and Dinning window. Yes, it's been that long ago; but I remember it like it was yesterday.

#12...here, while staying there we got married 05-06-78

When I first met Nancy ( 02-03-77), she lived with a friend during  the time she worked at Glendale Federal Bank. The same Bank, I told her that I had leased the above Apartment for us. She had only one room in this house. I wanted for us to be together and have our own, so after 2 month of us visiting each other's place, I surprised her at her work and told her I had found a place for both of us and her Son "Gary".

So, during the next 3 years we did a lot of Traveling-Camping with our VW Camper...criss-crossing the States many times.

..to be continued.
