My LaoPo is going back Home.

May is here, as expected.. Qing's Son (TianChi) has received his appointment notice at the Guangzhou US Consulate for the Interview to receive "His" visa to come to America. At first we were planning to let.. either Qing's brother or her Ex-Husband (TianChi's dad) take him to Guangzhou for this Interview, but we decided and also under our Immigration Lawyer's advice.. that it would be better if one of us (the Parent) would be present at that time. Qing has Custody after all.

This means, on May 12th my Sweetheart will be going first to Shanghai by herself (wish I could go) and then fly to Guangzhou and stay for a couple of days to take care of things necessary. As the Interview schedule changed in 2010, where one must first bring all the needed papers to the Consulate on the day of the appointment and then... the following day is actually the Interview by itself. As before all was done on the same day.

After passing, they will Mail his Passport w/Visa to his home address in Shanghai.. which they give three days for that to happen.

I am glad and sad at the same time right now, after booking Qing's flight yesterday. Why? Well, first.. I'm happy for my LaoPo having the chance to go back to not only see her Son.. but also the Family again. It has been 2 1/2 yrs. already, she's been here with me.. how time really flies.
Second, it's sad.. I of course will miss my LaoPo the ten days she's gone and also because I can't be going along with her.

Anyway, in a couple years.. we will be going back (all three of us) and hopefully be doing some Traveling in China. Maybe Kunming (to see my Sister "Lily") or to ChengDu ( Sichuan Province ). For that we'll have plenty of time to prepare/choose for.

I know, I had patience for months on end before Qing and I met or been united finally.. so ten (10) days being alone is not going to kill me. I think?

Ahhhhaa.. knew the rest wouldn't be for too long!

....well, I did get one(1) day to rest!

Now, I am send out to be the Gardener ones again.
We do need these...and these Herbs and Onions/Dill and who knows what? It has to be "Fresh" and the Market's are NOT fresh! Forget the dried Stuff, as this is one the same Page as Frozen Foods.

Oh... we also need Flowers here around the Tree you cut down, because of the Rat that decided to eat most of the Bark. Of course, this takes preparation of the Soil/Grounds. Anyway, it's not like "She" says Jump and I'll ask how high.. oh no! It's because I Love my LaoPo and hence she's Chinese, she knows what's best for not only me.

One thing, I do make time for though... is the Stanley Cup Playoff's! As long as my Rangers and Kings are in it, I'll be watching it all. After all, I need to shorten my Finger Nails and this time is the perfect time ( sit on the edge of your Chair) to take care of that... chewing them of course. haha

One Job done.. other's follow!

Why is it, before one is done with one Up-grade.. to your Home.. the next one is always waiting for you already?
It's reminding me, like your on a Turntable that never stops.

Anyway, now that we have finished the Guest-Bathroom.. with Tile/new Paint/new Light figure/new Toilet and accessories, I have thought that this would be it for a while. Of course it never is.

So now it was, hence we got rid of the Big Screen TV in the familyroom.. that is now TianChi's Bedroom, it was time to look for a Flat Screen TV for the Livingroom. Having the Stereo in the TV spot, cause somewhat of an Challenge.. where/what to do with that. We were lucky to see (after weeks of looking) a Stand, that not only be right for the TV.. but also for the Stereo. Now the House came with a Bay for just those things, but after putting it together there was problem number one.

The Stereo fit perfect (with no more than 1/4 in. to spare), the problem was the Glass Top. It was too wide in the back, even though it looked like a Triangle in shape. As I have cut many Car Windshields for Customers for a Custom fit, I thought.. why not take it to work and cut away about two inches on each side.
Take it to work, I started to cut away with a Air powered grinder. The first inch or so.. things looked easy and I started to think.. how perfect this will fit now into our Bay at home.

This is where Murphy's Law had something against my plan. I guess from the vibrations of the Grinder, it suddenly.. you may know what I will say next. I had little pieces of Glass all over the Shop floor about ten feet in each direction from where I was standing. Lucky for me, nothing of the pieces went "Upward".. only sideways and down.

I was in Shock, not only what had just happened.. but Qing had told me "NOT" to do it the night before. Did I listen, of course not.. I'm a "MAN" and they always "KNOW" better. This, me having to now tell my LaoPo.. that she was right.. and I should have listened to her.. was first thought now. Not how I will replace the Glass top.

What do I do? Buy another Stand of course on the way home. Lucky for my Health and Well- being, it only cost $99 at Walmart's. I know, all you readers would have loved to be there.. when I had to explain this to Qing with a blushing Face that slowly turned to Red.

Believe me, I even had second thoughts.. trying it again. I'd better not, I had to convince my Manhood.. haha. I actually though of doing it with Wood at some point, which wasn't a bad idea for Future needs. Anyway, all is in it's place now and working/looking well.

So now long after that Do it Yourself adventure, LaoPo was talking.. we need a Ceiling Fan in the Livingroom. Like I've said, the Turntable is always spinning. The person that I am, let's go and check out Ceiling Fans. Looking at the ones at Home Improvement Center's, which did not bring us to Buy one of the Cheap ones. I wanted a "Special" one, it is going into the Livingroom after all.. so no ordinary.. which I have four already in other places. Checking the Internet, I came onto Lamps Plus. This was going to be our best Bet, to find one that I could be looking at on a daily bases and not be sorry later for hanging NOT the right one.

Taking a sixty mile ride, to the nearest Store of choice.. it took not long to find our "Baby" for the Livingroom. Again, get your Tools out.. there is work to do. Going up into the Attic (with some parts pretty narrow), to play with the Fiberglass Insulation on all fours. Yaaahoooo!!!

Even this I tackled in only two days straight and now I think to myself, I make myself look a little Tired.. not to cause Qing's Mind flowing into.. whats next on the Honey-Do-List. Heck I know what's next, Tile the Living/Diningroom.. oh Joy. I do have a Wet Tile Cutter Machine, so I actually look forward to it.. but I do need some rest before going on to this Project.

Here are some Photo's of my hard Labor....
