My LaoPo is going back Home.

May is here, as expected.. Qing's Son (TianChi) has received his appointment notice at the Guangzhou US Consulate for the Interview to receive "His" visa to come to America. At first we were planning to let.. either Qing's brother or her Ex-Husband (TianChi's dad) take him to Guangzhou for this Interview, but we decided and also under our Immigration Lawyer's advice.. that it would be better if one of us (the Parent) would be present at that time. Qing has Custody after all.

This means, on May 12th my Sweetheart will be going first to Shanghai by herself (wish I could go) and then fly to Guangzhou and stay for a couple of days to take care of things necessary. As the Interview schedule changed in 2010, where one must first bring all the needed papers to the Consulate on the day of the appointment and then... the following day is actually the Interview by itself. As before all was done on the same day.

After passing, they will Mail his Passport w/Visa to his home address in Shanghai.. which they give three days for that to happen.

I am glad and sad at the same time right now, after booking Qing's flight yesterday. Why? Well, first.. I'm happy for my LaoPo having the chance to go back to not only see her Son.. but also the Family again. It has been 2 1/2 yrs. already, she's been here with me.. how time really flies.
Second, it's sad.. I of course will miss my LaoPo the ten days she's gone and also because I can't be going along with her.

Anyway, in a couple years.. we will be going back (all three of us) and hopefully be doing some Traveling in China. Maybe Kunming (to see my Sister "Lily") or to ChengDu ( Sichuan Province ). For that we'll have plenty of time to prepare/choose for.

I know, I had patience for months on end before Qing and I met or been united finally.. so ten (10) days being alone is not going to kill me. I think?

  2. 10 days is so short. My wife and son are in China for a full month. The first 10 days were easy, after that it got harder.

  3. Lydia, I know.. I'll be fine! Thanks!

Nik, Qing is like me.. we can not be apart anymore and ten days will be a long time for both of us. Now, if we both would be going.. that of course would change the lenght of the stay. As one would say, this is a "Business Trip".
