To follow up my last Post .

Life can be Strange , but it also can be Beautiful .. as the last weekend showed me .



As some of the Reader's of my Blog are Friends I know , they will know this was a special weekend . It started out as soon as I awoke .. saw my Sweetheart next to me and it continued pretty much throughout the rest of Saturday .



Having a large Family ( my own & through my first Marriage ) and countless Friends from all over many Countries of the World . Friends I have met through our Forum ( chinaromance.net ) , filled with some of the kindest People .. one can truly call Friends .. even never having actually met in Person . That are ready to help other's wherever help is needed , what finding a Chinese Wife/Spouse concerns . These very Friends , so many of the 500+ Member's .. were a big part of making my Birthday really special this time around .



I do , as I do almost daily "Sign in" into my E-Mail Box for new Messages that come in over night or during the day . What I saw , was dozens upon dozens of Happy Birthday wishes .. that I had a hard time keeping up and thanking all those thoughtful People and answer them back . This kept on for hours and Qing and I had an appointment to do my Taxes that day . So it was hard to get ready , getting Breakfast out of the way and run a few errands before seeing the Accountant .



This started out my Day feeling wonderful/happy of course . Did I have a choice ? Coming back home , well still high from what happened this morning .. I went to my PC and behold .. it was full with wishes and E-Card's .. that I thought .. I'll spend my whole day looking at the Screen .



That all gone through , I signed into our Forum . I tell you , it looked the same as my Inbox has this Morning .

I truly have never .. and I mean never , had soooo many wishes for a Happy Birthday in my Life .



To top it off , my LaoPo presented me with a surprise on a Paper towel ( Photo ) .





The most beautiful Happy Birthday wish of them all . Not that the Lobster Tail was what got me the most .. no it was the writing on the Towel .. especially the two characters on the very bottom . Standing for LaoGong ( which is for Husband ) .There is just something in my Sweetheart's handwriting that fascinates me all the time . It might be only character's to my LaoPo , but to me .. those are like Art pieces being put on paper with Love from the Heart . Well , of course the Tail was important too . This 18 ouncer we split in half and washed it down with drawn Butter and a nice Bottle of fine red Wine .



Today ( Sun ) , it was Champagne Brunch with our favourite Neighbor's .. which lasted the full three hours or close to it .

So all in all , a Happy Birthday .. that everyone had wished me .. came to be . Not to forget , the wonderful Gift's I received from my LaoPo and Neighbor's .



I sincerely thank everyone and everybody , that I felt was part of making my day extra special .. with all my Heart .

Life .. is Strange sometimes !

This I can really say , as it happened to me over the last few years now .

I went on a Journey , that I in my younger days .. would have never dreamed off . Leave alone , if someone would have told me .. your going to a far away Land to receive some surprises .. that are in store for you there . I most definitely would have thought .. common your crazy .. and I find myself properly laughing at such a Comment .

But , like the Title suggests .. I guess stranger things could of happened ? What happened to this point in my Life , I found myself a most wonderful LaoPo/Wife and to top it off .. her great Family as well .

So , should I be please at this Gift from above ? You bet I am and very thankful/grateful for this . Did it stop there though ? No .. it did not !

Coming from a Family , where I have four Brother's ( I'm not complaining ) with No Sister . Now this is what I have received in addition to the earlier mention . One thing is different with this Sister though . This is a sad part receiving this Gift . I have never/not yet met this Sister that lives in China of all places . Chances for ever meeting are not all hopeless , it is actually not that bad .. considering .. my Wife is from there . Having done four Trips to this wonderful Country already , I'm not planning to call it quits now .

I'm not that old yet , that I can not see myself making a few more ( at least a couple ) Trip's to my LaoPo's homeland . This might then , if everything works out both ways .. make it possible to finally meet my Sister .
I have included some Photo's that she has send me only today . Why , one might ask .. did I ever think of a Person on the other side of the World to call my Sister ? For me , that is an easy question to answer really . It's because , she is a wonderful Person all the way around and thinks of me and my LaoPo the same .

One thing that Hurts me knowing her , is that she had a very hard Life . Details I wont go into , but not being able to find a good Husband that she deserves .. really saddens me . There is a Heart of Gold and 52 yrs. old and full of Life ... alone .
While other's might give up , she finds ways to fore-fill her Life with Joy .. no matter what hardship comes her way .. like loosing her Mom not to long ago .

So , I ask God to Bless this Woman and bring her the Joy of having the comfort of a loving Husband .. in the not so far Future .

As I have mentioned before , Lily is a Performer with Sing/Dance group Traveling parts of China .

Now where would this or could this ...

For the last time : Forget it !

This made me laugh quite a bit and then .. it reminded me of China . Why China ?

Well , I do know in some part's of China .. they do eat Mouse . Bred for Food of course , not the ones we are trying to catch with our Traps .. when they become a nuisance at Home . So I really thought , this was very funny . Now , why would this Lady not let "Her" Cat keep "Her" catch in a nice cool place for later ? After all , isn't the Refrigerator there for that ?

I mean , a Cat doesn't want to Live on Canned Foods all the time .. right ?

Okay , let me say too .. NO I have NOT eaten any Mouse Dish yet ! I also would not , unless doing it unknowingly what I was served .. when it is actually looking pretty good with the finished Dish in front of you .

Valentine Card .. which to choose ?

Isn't that always the question ? Out of so many what is the best and fit's the best for your Girlfriend .. Wife or Mistress ? Well the last one , I don't have to worry about ! This would never come to be .. haha .



So , this is the Card I have chosen this year ..

I'm pretty sure Qing will like it very much . She does think , we here in the States .. have the most wonderful Cards for any occasion . Funny , here I think .. the ones she has send me from Shanghai were more lovely .
I must agree with her here though , as we do have the biggest selection's I have found anywhere .. I have ever been to .

This Card , as all Cards I give my LaoPo .. is of course modified by me before being handed over . We'll see , how many plus points I can rake in tomorrow .. as I plan on leaving it .. to be found when I'm at work . Coming home with ...... ( I can't say this now ) should earn me even more . Checking my Score , I think it is somewhere like 88,000 - 0 my favour . haha

PS: I forgot , this Card also plays the Song " Walking on Sunshine " ! I'm actually walking on Clouds , but this will do .

Valentine is for Sweetheart's & Flower's .

So for my Blog today , I will post one of my favourite Poem ( out of 16 ) that I have managed to come up with for my Sweetheart .. so far . I am far from calling it quits writing more , but it's hard to pinpoint a subject to do so and make it worth your while .. or my LaoPo's for that matter .

Anyway , here is my # 15 Poem , that I think fits Valentine's Day pretty well .

A Singing Flower !

Listen ... listen ,
one can hear ...
far in the distance ,
a Song in the wind .

Listen ... listen ,
coming like a gentle breeze ...
towards your ear .

Feelings ... feelings ,
are spreading throughout the air
giving one a chill
to know something is near .

as the breeze comes closer ...
a Song will follow
it's from my lovely Flower
coming over me like a shower .

A Singing Flower ...
is showing her love
through a Song to my ear

A Weekend to remember .

Last weekend ( actually Saturday ) was a planned day at Huntington Gardens in Pasadena , where we have been to many times previously . Having a Membership has really paid for itself over and over so far and we still have three month's to expiration date .

Anyway , I had received a letter from them .. which was a kind of Voucher/Ticket for two Adults plus Children .. to get in for Free . So all five of us had a wonderful day at a Botanical Garden - Museum's - Japanese Gardens and of course a Chinese Garden . But this was not the sole reason for going this day . It was also a Celebration of the Chinese New Year , with Dances , Dragons , Tai Chi Lessons and Kung Fu with different Weapons . The one thing that was missing or I should say , what I did not hear .. was the Fireworks accompanied during this Festival . They did have a Chinese Orchestra playing wonderful Music by the Lake , playing Spring Festival sounds straight out of China . A great day spend with many - many People and our good Friend and his Family .

Like most People , they almost had to kick everybody out at closing time .. it was after all hard to leave such a good time and place .

Time to think of Dinner , which was likewise great and to walk it all off .. what is better then .. an IKEA Store right across the Street . haha

I think we spend ( not Money ) but about an Hour or a little more there and off to go Home .
